The Apothecary Garden was a participatory arts, crafts and wellbeing project developed in collaboration with Fathom Trust's Making Well programme, and supported by the National Garden Scheme. Working across gardening and collective making, the project brought together participants referred through green social prescribing pathways and partner organisations including PAVO, local dementia support groups, and South Powys Mind.

The garden served as both a living artwork and gathering space, where growing, tending, and harvesting became creative acts through which relationships, community knowledge, and care emerged. Through a programme of seasonal activity, the Apothecary explored how creative, horticultural practices can nurture connection to place, support wellbeing, and strengthen community resilience.

"The shift for me is from can't do to can do. My anxiety is mellowed when i'm here. Also, everyone has 'stuff' no matter what it is. We all have our own things to manage. Part of the healing is to realise that I'm not alone."
