Embodied Ecology Arts was a collaborative placemaking project led by Jess Tanner, Carla Esteves-Walmsley and Helen Lawrence.

 

Taking place between 2012 and 2014, it brought together local communities and landscapes across ancient woodlands and heritage sites in rural Wiltshire and Somerset to explore how embodied, land-based practices can support connection, belonging and wellbeing.

Through walking, somatic art making, and site-based performance, participants explored relationships between body, ecology and creativity, and discovered new ways to connect with and experience their local landscapes.
