EMBODIED ECOLOGY ARTS

Embodied Ecology Arts was a collaborative placemaking project led by Jess Tanner, Carla Esteves-Walmsley and Helen Lawrence.Taking place between 2012 and 2014, it brought together local communities and landscapes across ancient woodlands and heritage sites in rural Wiltshire and Somerset.

Through workshops incorporating walking, somatic arts and site-based performance, participants explored relationships between body, ecology and place, engaging with local landscapes in new ways and discovering how embodied, land-based practices can support connection, belonging and wellbeing.
