TEST & SHARE
A student-led session developed during the final stages of my MA Arts, Health & Wellbeing at the University of South Wales.
The workshop explored ways of bringing the landscape indoors. Working with movement, mark-making, and materials, we made connections with the multi-sensory and the elemental, with an emphasis on process, play and embodied experience.
Sensing with stones, plant matter and pigments, we approached materials as collaborators in the creation of our own ecological dances, exploring what it might be to become weather, wind, rain, or mist.
Drawing on the group’s lived experience, the workshop explored how performative, ecological actions might become more inclusive and accessible for people with disabilities, or sensory sensitivities. Together, we reflected on the qualities of wellbeing, and the relationships that emerged through simply being, moving and making with diverse materials.
Thanks so much to my brilliant cohort for taking part!
