I am a trained NatureWell facilitator, an evidence based, integrated nature & health programme working with the 5 Pathways to Nature Connection developed by Natural Academy and Derby University.

The NatureWell approach encourages participants to cultivate a deeper connection with nature for their holistic health and wellbeing, fostering feelings of relaxation, revitalisation and restoration. The programme supports participants to grow their relationship with nature through The 5 Pathways to Nature Connection:

Contact – The art of engaging with nature through the senses for relaxation and restoration e.g. listening to birdsong, smelling flowers, watching the sunset.

Beauty – Engagement with the aesthetic qualities of nature, e.g. appreciating natural scenery or participating with nature through the arts.

Meaning – Working with the language of symbolism and metaphor to give shape to our experiences in nature on a personal and collective level.

Emotion – Exploring our emotional bond with, and love for nature and cultivating spaces to reflect on our feelings for nature.

Compassion – Extending the self to include all of nature, leading to a widening sense of our personal and collective response-abilities.
